“One of our students in attendance, shared with me that this session gave her the skills and confidence to reach out to an employer online who she’d like to work with (who could not be in attendance that day).  She proactively visited her office to introduce herself and have a conversation about her interest in working with the employer and being mentored by her.  She impressed the employer and came away with an opportunity to volunteer with her on a project this fall while gaining some hands-on experience in the field of accounting, and now our College is putting in motion a summer co-op work term for this student with funding support for the employer and her growing business.  Your session sparked an idea and instilled confidence that helped to open a new door for this student!”
